The Board of Trustees is working very hard on the St. Michael’s Project. We have acquired an architect and are working on schematic designs for how to use the church space and change it into a functioning library. Storytimes

Hopelessly devoted to Taft storytime? Well, we’re not ones to disappoint. For children 6 and under we’ll host storytimes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10:30am & 1pm on the following dates:

February 1^st: From Pole to Pole: Penguin and Polar Bear Stories

February 7^th & 8^th: Have a Heart: Valentine’s Day Stories

February 21^st & 22^nd: Walk-in Craft: Learn how to make a Snowball Soap Surprise!

February 28^th & 29^th: Lizards at Large: Dinosaur Stories

Storytimes consist of picture book stories, action rhymes, a craft, and sometimes songs. No registration is required. There will be no storytimes the week of February 13^th as the library is closed.

Lego Club

Two Old Friends

“Two Old Friends” will perform for the third time in Mendon this Friday April 29th at 7:00 p.m. This is a library program hosted by the Mendon Council on Aging sponsored by the Mendon Cultural Council. No registration required.

National Library Snapshot Day at Taft Public Library!

On, Wednesday, April 13, Taft Public Library joined libraries across the Commonwealth and the nation to provide a “snapshot” of what happens in a day in the life of libraries. ‘One Day in the Life of Taft Library’ was a success! Check out our Flickr page!

In addition, Taft Public Library plans all collecting photos that show ‘One Day in the Life of Taft Library’ throughout the month for a photo contest. The Friends of the Library will pick a photo winner and sponsor a prize. Check out the Friends Facebook page for more details!
